I always knew that hockey players were tough, but Sam Burgess shows why rugby players may also be. During the first 10 seconds of the NRL Grand Final, he fractures his cheekbone and goes on to play the full 80 minutes.

Apparently Burgess is such a gladiator that when asked by a reporter at halftime, he barely even acknowledged the noticeable pain he was in. Sam and his team, the South Sydney Rabbitohs, ended up defeating the Canterbury Bulldogs 30-6 to win the National Rugby League Grand Final.
